Junior Linguists Attend Wordfast & Déjà Vu Training Sessions
In line with our dedication to remaining on the forefront of the localization industry, our junior linguists recently attended two training courses held by the Buenos Aires Association of Sworn Legal Translators (Colegio de Traductores Públicos de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires).
The Wordfast workshop focused on deepening attendees´ understanding of the program´s more advanced functions and included step-by-step instructions for project management.
The four hours that focused on Déjà Vu, a long-standing and highly-complex translation tool, served as a general introduction. Win & Winnow´s linguists were especially impressed with the program´s Quality Assurance tools, which check for inconsistent use not only of terminology but also numerals and codings and alert translators when specific sentences and terms have been translated in more than one way.
Following the courses, our linguists returned to Win & Winnow having reinforced prior knowledge while gathering new ideas and skills. The entire Win & Winnow team remains committed to continued training and education.
