Win & Winnow Speaks at 7th Language & Technology Conference

September 2011.  We’ve just returned from the 7th Language & Technology Conference hosted by IMTT. Held in Córdoba, Argentina, the conference took place from August 20th to the 22nd and set the floor for in-depth discussions on technology, service, machine translation and more.

A gathering of translation industry professionals from Argentina and abroad, the conference featured a number of sessions and workshops in reflection of the global reality of the translation and localization industry today..

At this year’s conference, General Manager María Cecilia Calónico and Business Development Manager Emily Stewart spoke. The two gave a presentation on marketing and communications for freelance translators and on these factors in improving the freelancer-LSP relationship, which has become a hot-button issue in Argentina as of late. The presentation opened up the floor for debate, especially on the question of the intertwining of our personal and professional lives online.

We enjoyed the conference very much and look forward to many more in the future!
