German Translators

In order to expand our current capabilities, we are looking for reliable partners to provide German translation services.

Partners will produce English/Spanish <> German translations as well as edit or proofread translations performed by external linguists.

Responsibilities

• Translation of software, technical documentation and training materials.
• Assurance that translations comply with linguistic, cultural and industry norms as well as corporate instructions.
• Performance of linguistic QA on translations coming from external suppliers.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Applied Linguistics, Translation and/or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in technical translation.
• Must be fluent in both written and verbal English communication.
• Highly motivated with a mix of technical, organizational and communication skills to provide technical translations.
• Knowledgeable in and sensitive to multilingual and multicultural issues.
• Self-motivated and independent with a strong work ethic.
• Excellent command of MS Office and common CAT tools, mainly Trados Translators Workbench.
• Strong computer skills including desktop publishing tools as well as engineering and mechanical design.
• Familiarity with general IT and computer terminology.
